So, I was bored and as you can tell from the C2, when I get bored, interesting things happen.

This is what happened this time.

    First Edition.

I know this sort of thing is generally frowned upon on DLP (cover-art and such), but I thought you guys might be interested.

I don't really know what else to say. Tell me what you think.

Oh, for the record, the fics I chose were solely chosen on the basis of what I'd read recently.

    Excellent!

Minor mistake in Joe's. "...Harry has failed [missing text] than he can count."

Don't know why DLP would frown upon this. Nice work with the pics, too.

I think the font used in the Wastelands cover isn't epic enough, otherwise it's simply amazing.

And the DLP-Library logo is ingenious :awesome

Thanks, I also grabbed a capitalization error in Oz's.

Haha. I think the DLP logo is my favourite bit of the entire thing.

Also, the Wastelands' font was deliberately chosen to emulate the sort of text you see on modern-day thrillers / sci-fi books. Mostly because it was the second one I did and I didn't want to follow Frank's with another one of similar style. I don't think I pulled it off as I'd have liked, but I was working with the restrictions of my medium; complicated designs or patterns with the fonts just look a bit weird at such small resolutions.

I might ego out and do one of my own. Other than that, just as they come really.

If anyone has any requests, shoot. I can't make any promises though, because it's insanely difficult (at least for me) to come up with the required levels of clear imagery to get something down on paper.

kmfrank's Escape To Darkness and Joe's WoT really lend themselves to it, with overwhelming imagery/themes present in the work, Oz's fic, well that is just lulz.

Emembee, this is some really cool shit. KmFranks is especially awesome. I love the quotes you added from Averis, Aaltwal, and Kortir.

You should do one for By The Divining Light. Maybe a single star and a burning candle.

One for A Black Comedy would be pure epic.

If you're feeling generous, I'll request one when my story has moved forward some more. Not enough substance to make a cover yet.

And I want to see one for The Skitterleap. The imagery for that could be awesome.

Anyone else tempted to go print off those stories now? The covers would look great on my bookshelf.

Can't Give You Up would have to be stacked with filler to actually fill up the space XD

You'd probably have to make it an anthology of DLP lulz.

An IRL copy of these stories... I cannot even comprehend the awesome.

And for Oz's story one could replace the pages with a battery-powered audio device that automatically plays the contents when the book is opened. Heh. I did that once with a friend's locker.

Enembee - Those covers are full of awesome. Have to agree on the font for Wastelands, though. It doesn't quite fit the image, although it does match the thriller style.

For those of you who care, I've actually been given a brilliant idea!

My new Sony-Reader is now decked out in a copy of kmfrank's Escape to Darkness. My waffer-thin Blu-tac has served me admirably.

Also, IdSayWhyNot reminded me I already had Skitterleap material that I'd once used as a background, so I was able to knock together a cover pretty damn quick, absolutely love how this one turned out for a change. Updated the original post with it.

    This is suitably epic.

For the Wastelands one, I like that Harry seems to be falling ass-over-head into a clock. Sums up the story quite well.

    Awesome job, enembee.

    You're a cool dude.

I like the Wastelands one, very symbolic.

    Nice job!
